ART & MUSICThe Lost Path/Andrew Rumsey
MADE is delighted to present a new collaborative event with the Pewsey Heritage Centre, bringing art and music together for a truly special evening. It is our great pleasure to welcome singer-songwriter Andrew Rumsey alongside MADE artists as they unite to explore the evocative theme of The Lost Path.
The evening will begin at MADE in the Pewsey Vale with a drinks reception celebrating the forthcoming exhibition, The Lost Path, featuring new work by Mini de Kersaint, Heidi Nardoni, Ben Phillips, and Kate Wade. Responding to a shared inspiration, the exhibition reflects on the journeys we take through life — the twists and turns, the false starts and dead ends, the beauty found in solitude, our enduring connection to the countryside, and the quiet landscapes of our inner worlds.
Guests will then be invited to stroll from MADE to the Pewsey Heritage Centre for an “In Conversation” with the four artists and Andrew Rumsey. This discussion will explore how a single theme can be approached through different artistic mediums, and what The Lost Path has come to mean to each of them.
The evening will culminate in a seated performance by Andrew Rumsey, the acclaimed singer-songwriter celebrated for his distinctive “pastoral psych-folk” sound. His albums, including Evensongs and Collodion, weave intimate acoustic storytelling with reflections on place, memory, and the natural world — often recorded live in the atmospheric setting of a 12th-century Wiltshire church. This is our third collaboration with Andrew, a modern minstrel whose lyrical eloquence and soulful performances never fail to hold audiences spellbound.
