Visual Artist

Painting, for Penny, is an exploration of light, colour, and composition. She loves the process itself—the way the use of marks, geometry and colour transform the board as it evolves.

Her time studying photography at the London School of Printing and Graphic Arts gave her a strong understanding of how light defines and energizes a subject and was the inspiration for her painting journey.

She is inspired by using different mediums, oil, charcoal, ink, lino-cut and painting a wide range of subjects from figurative to fully abstract. Penny paints from her home studio in Wiltshire.
