Poster of the Pewsey Carnival Programme from 1984.
Displayed in the MADE in the Pewsey Vale Gallery in September 2024 during the Pewsey Carnival: In Print exhibition, we have the rights to reproduce this vintage piece. This little bit of Pewsey history demonstrates the typography, illustration and graphics of its time.
Originally the programme cover for the Pewsey Carnival events, we have created the poster which is available to buy in A2 size (420mm x 594mm).
Printed onto 250gsm Uncoated paper. Comes unframed and rolled in a postal tube for safe delivery. For local orders, Pick-up at the Gallery is available. Also please visit MADE in the Pewsey Vale Gallery, where these are available to purchase.
The Pewsey and District Feast and Carnival Committee and the Pewsey Heritage Centre have carefully preserved these colourful, jubilant Carnival programmes and posters. MADE in the Pewsey Vale is delighted to have worked alongside these organisations to bring you the Pewsey Carnival: In Print exhibition. This stunning collection really demonstrates the graphics, illustration and typography evolution of the last century. Designed in a pre-internet age, this collection of posters draws attention to the importance of communication through print.
Proceeds are donated to the Pewsey Carnival Charity with donations being made to many local causes which have included charities and appeals such as Wiltshire Air Ambulance, Prospect Hospice, Brighter Futures Radiotherapy Appeal, Naomi’s House Hospice, Julia’s House and many other local charities and organisations within the Pewsey Vale.
