Painting, for me, is an exploration of light, colour, and composition. I love the process itself—the way the use of marks, geometry and colour transform the board as it evolves. 

My time studying photography at the London School of Printing and Graphic Arts, gave me a strong understanding of how light defines and energizes a subject and was the inspiration for my painting journey. 

Learning with the acclaimed Robin Child deepened my appreciation for mark making and modulation of colour and how they interact with one another. 

I am inspired by using different mediums, oil, charcoal, ink, lino-cut and painting a wide range of subjects from figurative to fully abstract.

I enjoy painting with friends in my studio in Wiltshire, as I’m stimulated by their thoughts and observations, which often inspire new directions.

I am delighted to be part of Made in the Pewsey Vale.
