Judith Beeby
Judith's paintings are inspired by the encroachment of urban and industrial elements into the rural environment. She is fascinated by the ongoing conversation between man and nature — the soft beauty of the English landscape set against strong industrial forms.
There’s a particular kind of beauty in the march of pylons stretching across the countryside, or in the contrast between a dark underpass and a sunlit field. These juxtapositions are at the heart of her work.
Watercolour remains central to Judith's practice. During her Master’s, she also explored abstract techniques using high-gloss car paint to create fluid, chance-driven compositions inspired by the accidental beauty of artists’ palettes. This experimental process offered her a new way to engage with ideas of control, contrast, and unpredictability — themes that continue to shape Judith's work.
Judith's Solo Show runs 29th May - 06 June 2026
