Barbara Frost

Barbara Frost holds an MA in Printed Textiles from the Manchester School of Art. She began her career as a printmaker before moving into art and design education and now focuses on painting and collage.

Her work is rooted in observation, often inspired by nature, but evolves into a reimagined, reconstructed interpretation that captures the mood of the moment. Expressive use of colour, semi-abstraction, and pattern are central to her practice, while texture emerges through the use of various tools to work into the surface. For Barbara, the creative journey is the most exciting part, allowing her to shift between styles depending on the moment and the direction the work takes.
